This tool displays operational anaerobic digestion plants in the UK. Plants can be filtered by "Farm Feedstock Only", "Waste Feedstock" and " Biomethane Injection" into the national grid using the relevant link on the top left of the window. To reset the map, click "All Sites". Viewing the map requires JavaScript and Internet Explorer 7 (or later), Firefox 3.5 (or later) or equivalent.
The map is populated by data provided from WRAP and the NNFCC. To have your AD plant listed on our site, or to update details of a facility we currently list, please contact us and we would be happy to consider your request. We only list operational AD plants and we do not include sewage treatment AD plants.

Additional Information
To enable progress in the AD industry to be monitored, data on the current status of UK anaerobic digestion infrastructure was captured at the end of September 2011 for the AD Baseline Report; progress will be reported formally on a quarterly basis thereafter, with update reports published here.
Sewage treatment AD plants are not included on the map but are included in the AD Baseline Report. Below is a summary of the number and capacity (dry tonnes per year) of sewage treatment AD plants in the UK (Source: Water UK).
